Tonight @ The Hole, Lola Montes Schnabel : Love Before Intimacy

The Hole gallery will be presenting a new group of paintings by Lola Montes Schnabel tonight.
The exhibition of five works, was created over the period of the last year. Based on the above image sent out in Lola’s press release, it seems like her father Julian has had a profound influence on her composition, palette and overall aesthetic.
I’m really into JS. His work exudes ridiculous confidence and the equally ridiculous scale of the art is usually awe-inspiring.
Schnubes’ opulent-bohemian-eclectic sense of style is also fascinating.
Aside from his paintings, take some time out of your day and explore his prolific body of work that encompasses Sculpture, Film, Photography, Architecture and Interior Design.
Below is a sample of his Cartography series that I aspire to own one day, it almost reminds me of a striped Hudson’s Bay blanket.
