Happy Mondays MADCHESTER vintage tour shirt

Extremely rare. One of the most coveted shirts in my archive.

Did you know a good deal of Mishka‘s Spring 2009 collection was inspired by the whole UK Rave/Madchester/Baggy/Hacienda scene. It was particularly influenced by the Mondays’ Hallelujah.

And if you’re in Brooklyn tonight, there is a FAC OFF party at TROPHY BAR directly across the street from the Mishka flagship store:

Located in Manchester, England, The Haçienda was a nightclub and music venue associated with the rise of acid house and rave music

It opened in 1982, and was largely financed by Factory Records and the band New Order.

It became most famous during the “Madchester” years of the late 1980s and early 1990’s; it was labelled the most famous club in the world by Newsweek magazine.

Despite persistent financial troubles it survived until 1997 – during much of this time the club was mainly supported by record sales from New Order.
